Chimerica Media was set up in 2007 by Niall Ferguson, Melanie Fall and Adrian Pennink to make high quality history documentaries. 

Our first project, The Ascent of Money - a 6 x 1 hour series about the global history of finance presented by Niall - was produced for Channel 4 and PBS and distributed by BBC Worldwide. Civilization, a 6 x 1 hour series about the history of western civilization presented by Niall, was shown by Channel 4 beginning in March 2011. We have also recently completed a 96 minute documentary about Henry Kissinger. Our series of documentaries about China was shown recently on Channel 4. Chimerica is currently producing a 90 minute programme about the First World War for the BBC and developing an econonomics series for Al Jazeera.
